Who's behind Victory Gymnastics Academy? |
| |
|
| |
A.
Our beautiful facility was designed
inside from the ground up by parents of gymnasts
and coaches who train gymnasts. With the opening
of Victory Gymnastics Academy, we’ve
accomplished our dream of creating what we
truly believe to be one of the finest professional
gymnastic training facilities in Southern
California. Once you’ve visited it,
we’re confident you’ll feel the
same. |
| |
|
| |
Q. What
are the qualifications of your coaches? |
| |
|
| |
A.
Victory Gymnastics classes are taught
by a staff of highly qualified and accomplished
Gymnastics professionals. All have long-term
Gymnastics experience in technique and curriculum
both as competitors and as trainers. Each
is Safety Certified by the USAG. |

Q.
How many students do you allow per class? |
| |
|
| |
A.
Classes are limited in size so that
our instructors are able to provide on-going
guided, one-on-one instruction to participants.
Classes for four years and younger have a
total of 5 students. Classes for five years
and above have only 7 students. If demand
requires it, we either add another coach or
expand to an additional class. |

Q.
How professional are your classes and how do
I know my child is progressing? |
| |
|
| |
A.
Although we offer plenty of fun recreational
gymnastics classes for kids of all ages, Victory
Gymnastics is an academy. We take pride in
the caliber of our no-nonsense curriculum
based program. We prepare students for gymnastics
and cheerleading competition at local, regional,
state, national, and world championship levels.
Victory Gymnastics practices
managed acceleration throughout all of our
classes. We believe your child deserves all
of the rewards that come with achieving steady
and persistent levels of accomplishment. Once
they’ve mastered the set of skills that
are required for any given level, it’s
time for them to move on to the next. We’ll
know when the time is right to push them along
and so will they.
We enjoy open and on-going
communication among the staff, parents, and
students here at Victory Gymnastics Academy.
Records that we keep on file regarding your
child are always available for you to see.
If you want to know what’s happening
with your child at any time, don’t hesitate
to ask. |

Q.
What type of equipment do you use? |
| |
|
| |
A.
Victory uses American Athletic Inc.
“Elite” equipment. AIA is the
official supplier to USA Gymnastics, the NCAA
Championships, and the governing body of the
world gymnastics (FIG). This is the only brand
used in world championship competition including
the Olympic games. Our gymnastics exercise
floor features a pommel horse station, two
vaults, two parallel bars, two high bars,
two uneven bars, a 22-foot high ring tower,
four balance beams, four low balance beams,
tumble track, rod floor, a 17-foot competition
trampoline, and a full array of safety mats.
Our children’s gymnastics area includes
kids rings, kids bars, kids beams, and kid-sized
safety cushions and mats. Our 20’ x
20’ ground pit is one of the largest
among gymnastics facilities in southern California
and is positioned so that safe, soft, and
comfortable landings can take place from a
variety of gymnastics apparatus. |

|
| |
Q.
How big is your facility? |
| |
|
| |
A.
Our building encompasses 14,000 square
feet of space (about 1.3 the size of a U.S.
football field) and is 24-feet high in our
tallest section (enough height to accommodate
a fully extended 22-foot professional ring
tower). |
| |
|
| |
Q.
Is your facility fully air-conditioned? |
| |
|
| |
A.
Yes. |
| |
|
| |
Q.
Do you offer any types of discounts? |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
A.
We offer multiple student and multiple
class discounts. And all partial term starts
are prorated. We believe that our facilities,
our staff, and our gymnastics curriculum to
be the best that you can find in Southern
California. Our rates are competitive and
affordable so we do not offer other types
of discounts. We are proud of what we offer
and we are confident that you will be very
pleased. |
| |
|
| |
Q.
Can I watch my child during his or her training? |
| |
|
| |
A.
We feature two viewing areas that
are loved by parents for their comfort and
convenience. Our on-floor bistro-style mini-cafe
allows parents to sit within close proximity
to the gymnastics exercise area. This provides
an up-close-and-personal experience wherein
parents share the exhilarating sites and sounds
of what’s happening right beside them
out on the exercise floor. Our enclosed viewing
area features comfortable chairs, sound cushioning,
huge windows offering a view of the entire
exercise floor, Internet access, selectable
iPod-based music, and a variety of magazines.
It’s the perfect place to catch up on
the day’s emails, read a few articles
and listen to a favorite song while you keep
a watchful eye on all of the exciting gymnastics
action that’s happening right in front
of you out on the exercise floor. |

|
| |
Q.
Can I bring my younger children who are not
students? |
| |
|
| |
A.
Of course, just as long as you stay
nearby. All children, not on the exercise
floor, must have parental supervision.
Our Kids Activity Room is
filled with everything a kid could want to
stay educated and entertained. Little ones
can choose from a variety of games, books,
and toys that’ll keep them thoroughly
enchanted every time they come to Victory
Gymnastics Academy. And if that’s not
enough, we’ve got a 24-inch flat screen
TV hanging on the wall on which we can play
any of the kid-tested movies we keep in stock.
Or, provided it’s appropriate for kids,
you can even bring your own. |

|
| |
Q.
Do you have competitive teams? |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
A.
Yes. We are the only facility in the
Conejo Valley that has both boys’ and
girls’ competitive gymnastics and cheerleading
teams. Our gymnastics teams follow the United
States gymnastics protocol. Our cheerleading
teams follow the ISASF protocol. |
| |
|
| |
Q.
In what types of events do your teams compete? |
| |
|
| |
A.

and national competitions. Recent competitions
include the Junior Nationals Gymnastics, the
Winter Cup, the Peter Vidmar Invitational,
and the Stanford University Invitational.
U.S. states in which we’ve recently

Can my child audit a class? |
| |
|
| |
A.

Victory Gymnastics Academy. That way if you
decide to commit to an on-going program of
training, you can do so with full confidence
in what we have to offer. |
| |
|
